Following the reported arrest of two Boko Haram suspects, Idris Ibrahim and Mohammed Bashir, in Isua Akoko recently, which has fuelled the alleged presence of Boko Haram members in Ondo State, Management would like to advise all the students and staff of the University to be security conscious within and outside the campus.
Consequently, all students and staff are enjoined to report suspicious faces, movements or any strange activity noticed within the campus and their neighborhood to the University Security Unit, the Nigerian Police or any of the available security operatives.
All students and staff are advised to remain calm and go about their lawful studies and endeavours peacefully as Management is in touch with the Police, who have assured the University and Akoko residents that they are on top of the situation.
