VC’s Welcome Message

It is with delight and gratitude to God that I assume office today 6th January 2020, as the Acting Vice Chancellor of Adekunle Ajasin University (AAUA).

I salute the efforts of the founding fathers of the University for their great vision in establishing the University and recognise the good work that my predecessors as well as members of staff have done in the fifteen years of existence of the University.

I want to specially acknowledge the tremendous transformation the University has witnessed in the last five years during the tenure of my immediate predecessor.

The transformation which cuts across all areas has laid a solid foundation for building a 21st century University in terms of infrastructural development, quality of academic programmes, promotion of scholarships, academic culture and ethics, among others.

Directing every effort to sustain, consolidate and to build on this great foundation is therefore of utmost importance. All stakeholders in the affairs of the University must, of necessity, work together to ensure the University continues to soar higher to sustain excellence in teaching, research and services to the society.

This will necessitate sustenance of robust capacity-building policy for staff as well as networking and collaboration at local and global levels with Universities, industries, Alumni body and individuals with the aim of taking the University to a greater height.
